Important information for Tivatrainer(X) users

TivatrainerX is the iOS successor to the Tivatrainer for Windows. We have made significant efforts to convert the software into a platform-independent version, which has recently been released for iOS, Android, MacOS, and Windows. The app's framework has been modified to centrally store drug records and, in the future, user saved files, with options for sharing. This change makes maintaining and updating the central database much easier. We plan to enhance the drug records by adding more information, such as links to important publications and published clinical effective concentrations. The Eleveld model already includes the population Cp50 for a specific BIS value. Over the next few months, we will transfer the functionality of TivatrainerX, including interactions, graphical display of the model, and multiple effect compartments, to the Tivatrainer. Additionally, features from the old Tivatrainer for PC, such as editing kinetic parameters, context-sensitive decrement time, and cumulative drug dose, will be implemented. We also have plans to introduce new functions, such as importing dosing information from spreadsheets. The timeline for implementing these updates depends greatly on your feedback.

We have also updated the pricing structure of Tivatrainer. Instead of purchasing the app, users will now have a subscription to the framework that supports Tivatrainer. Recognizing the importance of Tivatrainer for the understanding and education of intravenous anesthesia worldwide, we have made significant efforts to adjust the subscription price based on the country where Tivatrainer is used. Please note that TivatrainerX and Tivatrainer cannot coexist in the app store, so TivatrainerX will need to be replaced. To ensure a smooth transition from TivatrainerX to Tivatrainer, all TivatrainerX users are eligible for three months of free use of the new Tivatrainer. You will find a link for discounted registration on the first screen of the latest TivatrainerX (version 4.4 and above).

We would also like to bring your attention to the Eurosiva winter meeting in Crans Montana on January 19 and 20, 2024. This meeting has been granted 15 Continuous Medical Education points by the Swiss Society of Anesthesiology. You are welcome to attend in-person or online. During this meeting, we will dedicate some time to working with Tivatrainer.
